About Roshan
I am an associate underwriter in the war, terrorism and political violence team. My role entails a variety of tasks, the main day to day looking at majority of our standard sabotage and terrorism risks. Alongside this, I conduct risk reviews for the senior underwriters on larger more complex locations to provide an overview of the asset and the history of incidents in the general area. A small part of my role is also to assist with our aviation war book, mainly looking at endorsements. My career began at Hiscox in September 2023 after graduating from university with a degree in Accounting and Finance. My underwriting journey began in the Events team where the skills that I had developed helped me progress towards my current progression in the terrorism team. I have now been at Hiscox and the industry for 2 years, and just over 3 months in my current role, a team I aspire to be in for the long term as well as progressing further and understanding the many nuances of the London markets.
